Messy Play

At Daisy chain we love messy play but who would of thought when having all this fun we are learning so much! Learning occurs when a child’s senses are stimulated, children can learn a lot from messy play because it can stimulate so many senses at the same time. Touching and experimenting develops fine motor skills and hand eye coordination. These fun messy activities give the children a chance to discover and explore new textures. Children also start to communicate by discussing what they are feeling and think through their actions so that they can explain it to others. By creating an open-ended activity with no right or wrong helps children to build self-esteem.
